Patient Experience.
The Community Parents Navigating Support for Early Childhood Cancer Detection (COMPASS) project is training parents of children managed for cancer as community navigators to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and facilitate early detection and timely referrals. This culturally relevant, cost-effective, and scalable approach addresses barriers to care while fostering community trust.
COMPASS integrates with existing healthcare and community health worker systems, ensuring sustainability through partnerships with local governments, treatment centers, and non-governmental organisations. This framework secures long-term funding and scalability for ongoing impact.
